Samindara Sawant

Founder Director, Disha Counselling Centre, Mumbai, Sawant is also an RE-CBT practitioner, regression therapist, transformational growth therapist and author. Samindara specialises in psycho-diagnostics and clinical assessments and has considerable experience in child, adolescent, marriage as well as family psychotherapy.

Shital Ravi

Shital Ravi, Co-Founder of Disha Counseling Center, holds a postgraduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Mumbai University. In the last 24 years of her counseling practice, she has worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults. She is also a Mindfulness Master Practitioner and a Storytelling therapist.

A prolific writer, Shital has widely written on mental health, parenting, and related topics and has featured as a columnist in a few leading print media. She is a poet too who writes in three languages and has published a tri-lingual anthology titled Do Kavitayein. She is currently writing Pashu Neeti, a monthly newsletter showcasing wisdom from the animal kingdom.

A seasoned classical danseuse, Shital holds a Nritya Alamkar in Bharatanatyam from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She has won national titles like Singar Mani and Natyamayuri, is a graded artiste of the Doordarshan, and the recipient of the prestigious Central Government Scholarship awarded by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of India. Giving shape to her leanings towards seva bhava, Shital co-founded Saaraakassh Trust in 2015, working for the betterment of tribal lives in Maharashtra with focus on education, health, sanitation and environment. A project close to her heart is Pudchi Peedhi, Pudcha Paaul, which literally means ‘the next step of the next generation’. This project uses storytelling, dance, music, games, role play and a host of other activities to build life skills in the tribal and underprivileged children for a better and atmanirbhar bharat.

Veena Singh Krishnan

A highly skilled and passionately dedicated professional in the field of mental health, she trained as a clinical psychologist from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi.

She brings with her, over three decades of national and international experience in her field.

An acknowledged emotional well-being, behavioural and mental health practitioner in Dehradun, dealing in child, adolescent and adult mental, emotional and behavioural disorders, Krishnan has successfully treated thousands of patients with varying mental health disorders with compassion and effective evidence-based treatment plans.

A leader in motivation/stress management, she continues to reach out far and wide with Psycho Care India. She is also general Secretary of Mental Health Action For People (MAP), a national level organisation, which aims to promote well-being and quality of life by proactive intervention, with chapters in all states.

Poulomee Shaw

Poulomee Shaw is the Founder and Director of MIND’S and an award-winning Young Counselling Psychologist, Motivational Speaker, Career Strategist and Entrepreneur, who counsels adults and teens (individually and families) across India and abroad. She is also a Certified Marital Therapist, Certified Anger Management Specialist, Certified NLP Trainer, Certified Emotional Intelligence Expert, Certified Mental Health and Counseling Specialist.

Being a research scholar in Psychology she earned her PhD degree from Rajabazaar Science College (Kolkata), Master Degree in Psychology, Emotional Intelligence Expertise (IIT Kharagpur). She completed her Clinical Internship from India’s reputed Government Hospital (IPGMER, SSKM Hospital), Department of Psychiatry (IOP) and trained herself on marital therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and trauma treatment.

Krishna Gurramkonda

Krishna is an LGBT activist working on sexual health and human rights since December 2000. He earlier initiated support groups and worked as volunteer with Mithrudu, SAATHI, SAMPARK support groups for LGBT communities.

In 2014, he was selected by the US Consulate Hyderabad and visited USA under IVLP programme.
He is the founder secretary of Suraksha Society, a CBO (community-based organisation) network in Andhra Pradesh, established and registered under Societies Act 1860 on 23 August 2004, when a group of community members took initiative to address the problems related to the sexual health and human rights of the MSM/
TG community. It is a registered non-profit state level community based organisation managed by and for people with different sexuality.

Rakesh Chandra Acharya

Rakesh Chandra Acharya is a qualified yogacharya. He received training in Yoga Education from Munger in May 2005, training in Health Management once again from Munger in May 2006 and did his post graduation in Yoga from Haridwar Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in May 2011.

For the last over 10 years he has been taking yoga classes not only for yoga enthusiasts in their home environment but also at corporate houses to relieve employees of their stress filled corporate life. He combines yoga with wellness and helps his clients not only take care of their physical health but their mental well-being too.
